Our concept of coaching is to provide information (tools and concepts from the Wow-To Goal Achievement Program), and then be available to advise on which tools to use and how to best apply them. For example, a client may call in or Email us, reporting that their supervisor has just given them a huge project, and they are feeling a bit overwhelmed by the scope and responsibility.
We would ask a few pertinent questions, then get them on track by suggesting the proper strategies to follow. The client would later check in when they had completed that “assignment.” If they had not yet received the appropriate tool in class, they would be directed to a website, or simply be given the tool over the phone. Most of our powerful tools can be taught in a matter of minutes.
COACHING PROGRAMS
We can provide classes that meet two to four times per month, depending on how quickly your team wants to absorb material. After about eight to ten classes, we then go to a schedule of meeting once a month or so, keeping people on track and adding skill depth. This is ideal for sales departments or managers. It’s also a great venue for R&D, where formal brainstorming and idea sharing can be so valuable.
Ideal schedules go for one to two years, ensuring that your people have embodied the concepts and have been empowered to the point where most of it is automatic.
PERSONAL COACHING
The advantages to having a personal coach who understands how to recognize and neutralize life patterns are numerous. While people can learn to break performance barriers for themselves, the process is usually smoother and farther reaching when done with a coach. The Wow-To! Coach can spot subtleties that would escape most trained observers or clinicians. We can also provide for motivational factors to get people to perform to their desired level of commitment.
Most coaches or mentors try to help people change by telling them what needs to be done and how to do it. While the Wow-To! Coach shares some of the most powerful “get it done” tools available, that is not the main focus. Giving clients specific work strategies limits them to your experience and insight. As a coach, I would not presume to know my client’s profession better than my client. My role is to give them tools to find their own best solutions. My goal is to empower them and make them independent of me as soon as possible. Tools, problem solving strategies and attitude are the key ingredients. There is no better way to receive these elements than face to face.
A skilled coach knows when to give which tools. An effective analysis allows a Wow-To! Coach to combine client data with intuitive insight. The effect of this is to allow the maximum client growth in the least amount of time. It is my belief that people can only accept a limited amount of change in a given time frame. That might sound like a negative belief. Consider the following analogy: in eating a meal, one benefits from taking reasonable bites, chewing well and then swallowing. The act of taking a seven course meal and ramming it into one’s throat as fast as possible is not advisable. The body would reject it in a most unappealing way. It’s the same with knowledge. The mind rejects this kind of knowledge if there is not enough time to adapt to it. Clients need time to develop skills to the point where they have embodied them. It is better to do one thing effectively than five things ineffectively.
This methodology builds solid foundations of practical tools and techniques that work in the real world. Coached clients feel a level of support that is unparalleled. Their Wow-To! Coach is trained not only to see them as successful; they are trained to see through anything that would keep them from becoming successful. Even if a client has had a propensity to drive away help, the Wow-To! Coach understands this and cannot be driven away. The Life Pattern of the client is no match for the dedication of the coach.
The success stories of coached clients are varied and numerous. What I look for as benchmarks are clients doing things in their life they have never been able to do before. Also, they tend to accomplish things in their field that have never been done before. This ranges from being acknowledged the best in a given arena to monetary achievements to breaking gender and culture barriers. When a client’s true inner power is unshackled, people and events seem to cooperate to make their goals a reality. Against all odds and track records, they prevail.
An example that comes to mind is a client at a major corporation who had a goal to develop a program for his company. There were two people who stood in his way. He had tried both reasoning with them and arguing with them. They were unshakeable in their own limited ideas. His frustration was high. We clarified and energized his goals. He was visualizing and following the steps. Within a week, the two people whom had been with the company for over ten years, decided to leave. The way was clear and now my client flies all over the world helping employees to implement his plan. These “coincidences” are the hallmarks of a Wow-To! client. Sometimes they report it feels like cheating because achieving their goals is so easy.
Of course, everything doesn’t simply fall into the client’s lap. Work is still the key. Nothing good ever comes from laziness or sloth. The difference is that they are no longer wearing themselves out getting things done. They look younger and have more energy. Have you ever experienced someone seeing a very active child and comment, “Wouldn’t you like to bottle that energy?” I always think to myself, “I have!” The bottle is labeled “Wow-To! .”
COACHING SESSIONS
Clients begin with an Orientation that explains the coaching objectives. The Orientation includes valuable tools that begin the process of improving the quality of their life. At the end of the session they decide whether to pursue the program. There is never any force used. I would never want to work with anyone who was not sure they were ready. The sessions are very enjoyable for me, though some do provide more of an intuitive challenge than others.
I use a series of exercises that reveal Life Patterns in an easy, painless way. We then go about applying both attitudinal and “healing” tools. By healing I mean that the client is able to neutralize destructive memories or behaviors and not be hampered by them. There can also be emotional healing, which can be anything from great mental relief to states of joy.
A typical session will last 90 minutes, though some go for two hours. The time always flies by. When applying a technique, clients usually have the option of doing it aloud or in the privacy of their own mind. The advantage of doing it aloud is that it makes it easier for the coach to spot patterns or point out inconsistencies. The advantage of doing some things in their head is that if they need to raise their voice, they can imagine doing so, if raising their voice would be embarrassing or disturbing to others. Either way, the tools are so powerful they overcome the situation regardless of the specific methods.
The point is to empower the client. They learn an amazing set of tools that are the keys to discovering what they want and then getting what they want. There are tools for improving relationships, eliminating stress, achieving specific goals, changing destructive personality traits, improving intuition, overcoming performance blocks and acquiring more wealth. Built into all of this is the concept of balance. Too much emphasis on any of those areas yields a less than fulfilling life.
By-products of Wow-To! Coaching are greater confidence, high self-esteem and self-worth and an ability to get along with many different types of people. Also, higher states of energy and better health are reported. Clients also report an overall sense of well-being and more feelings of control. Having dominion over one’s internal environment plays a big role. As clients realize their life’s purpose and follow that path, activities make more sense and become more pleasurable and even exciting.
Coaching sessions can take place either on-site or at another location.
